Here's a chance to test the power of the internet! I’ve entered an online competition with EMI to record a version of Pink Floyd’s 1967 single “Arnold Layne”. The best interpretation (as judged by a combination of online votes, EMI and David Gilmour the legendary Pink Floyd guitarist) will win a “money can't buy” 12 hour recording session at the world famous Abbey Road studios in London with David Gilmour!

I’m a massive Floyd fan and this is an unbelievable competition so I’ve recorded a version and sent it in!

All I need you to do is to surf: http://www.davidgilmour.com/arnoldlayne/index.php

Then scroll down the bands on the left hand side and find me (listed as Rick Strang). Double click on my name and then on the right hand side under the words “Rank It” highlight five stars and then hit “Submit”.

You don’t even have to listen to the song if you don’t want to. Some bands haven’t even recorded “Arnold Layne” which is just plain cheating!

I just need your votes to get me up in the higher end and give more people a chance to hear my version.
