The thing about being on the road is you never knew where you'd end up. As it so happened, Dean and Sam were staying at a nearby motel and Dean wanted a drink in a major way. It had been a long day. Sam decided to stay behind and read and so Dean set out on his own. He left the Impala behind as it was just a short walk and a well lit night

"What were you arguing about? Do I want to know?"

Yes, John knows very well abut the Dean tendency to flirt first and ask questions later.

"Oh I told her about what I did for my Sam and she flipped out at me." he shrugs, trying not to make a big deal out of it.

"What did you do?" John sighs and rubs his face.

[impalaman]

"I made a deal, my life and soul for Sam's."

[random_xtras]

The face rub turns into a facepalm. "I'm surprised she didn't kick your ... aft."

[impalaman]

"I think she wanted to."

[random_xtras]

"So do I," he notes, just for the record.

Dean nods. "I guess she has a right, since she's a Sam."

John thinks of another angsty, emo-ridden Sam being turned loose on the multiverse and grabs Dean's beer to knock it back.

Dean is surprised when John grabs his beer. He motions to a waitress and holds up two fingers asking her to bring one for each of them.

"Something I said?"

"I've met Sams without Deans before." He sets the bottle down, wincing. "Why are you drinking that watered down garbage?"

"Yeah, I get the feeling they don't take it well huh?"

He smirks. "Got a better suggestion?"

[random_xtras]

"Do you know what 'wangst' and 'emo' mean?" John turns to reach for a beer.

"Remember, no getting drunk," warns the furry waitress softly.

"I'm not going to get drunk on one and a half beers, even if the one's a Newfie beer." He takes it and thanks her, then hands the other to Dean. "Have a Black Horse."

Dean shakes his head. "Not really. Well Emo a bit I guess."

He takes the beer and pops the cap and takes a drink. "Much better."
