It's true that I don't put much stock in Bowl Games, there's just too much time between the end of the season and the games themselves, but it was still nice to see Michigan kick Florida's butt. Was never really a fan of Florida, but I became an anti-fan after that Florida-Alabama game when the Florida fans quite frankly sickened me. Also, I'm kind of ticked that we have to settle for someone like John Parker Wilson, when Tim Tebow chose Florida over Alabama. He was only considering the two colleges in his senior year, but he probably chose the better option to advance his career. Maybe Saban can find a real quarterback sometime soon. Here's hoping.
Got to say that one of my favorite plays of the game was Arrington's one-handed catch running down the sideline, that was flipping awesome.
Oh yeah, and way to go Bama! Moving up from last year's showing.
So far, I'm not liking the Rose Bowl this year. The Rose Parade was awesome, but the Rose Bowl is sucking. The jackass that just scored for USC by flipping into the end zone should be called out for unsportsman-like conduct. Thank goodness, he was. Show him for showing off. Flipping ridiculous. Unfortunately, the team does not seem at all phased.
One pretty cool thing with the Rose Bowl this year is that my brother is actually interested. His team is playing, a team he hasn't shown too much interest in before now, but he wants to see them win. And, he also plans on watching some football games next year. Now he can join the rest of the family in watching college football. Took him long enough to get interested. I think his school spirit was slowly awakened by the combined influence of his roommate and his manager. It's funny, the rest of the family rooted for the Illini a whole 15 months before Stephen did. Better late than never.
