I like the rain and all ...
but I hate the flooding that comes along with it. I was supposed to get my hair denoted today, but I couldn't because I could not get out into my street without flooding my engine. I live on such a weird street, in that it floods more than any other in this neighborhood. The flooding is going down, but I need to call to see if I can still come by or if they are booked up for the rest of the day. Dash it all.
Update: The hair salon did not have any available slots for the rest of the day, so I am stuck with long hair for a while yet. Sucks because the street cleared up enough to drive by 9:45. Wish I had taken a different appointment.
There was something else I meant to write about, but I can't remember what it was. Weird. Darn.
Update to my update: That's what I forgot! Our newspaper, and the newspapers of a good many of our neighbours were all lost to the flood waters this morning. There was a whole pile of papers about a block down, but we have no idea as to how many were lost, and I imagine that they were all waterlogged. Suffice it to say, we did not get our newspaper today.
