ha, I just finished watching a rerun of the speech Jimmy Carter gave on Monday and he painted this wonderful vision of how the world is and I just about laughed my ass off... however this was not because it was sad, misguided or wrong, it seemed quite accurate but it was just so funny it played the world out to be. I'll have to see if I can get this image out of my head and into writing...
the world shared the plot of any bad 80's flick that you might see... there is the new guy in town (Kerry/Edwards) and when this new guy appears the current golden child, who has been given everything all his life (W), doesn't like the threat that this new guy represents... so our golden child is quick to challenge the new guy and does so by talking shit about this new guy to everyone... the new guy was quick to respond by pulling his patented "bitch I got half yo' country with me" backhand... stunned and somewhat taken-back, our golden child runs home to tell his father the horrible news... Big H looks down on little W and delivers a true Texas Oil money family "you're no son of mine!" slaps to the face... W runs out of the room holding his face with ol' H screaming after him... and as tears form in lil' W's big puffy eyes; he has only one thought in his little head,"I'll make that John Kerry pay!"
and this is the part of the movie we're in, moving closer and closer, scene by scene to the climax of our movie... and who will win the popularity contest including the grand prize of various corporate contracts? Only time and you, the public, can tell.
