What a great experience. I can see why so many people go out and rent Tux's for there weddings. It was not something I got to do the first time around and am glad I did it this time. Basically we are planning a renewal ceremony to go along with the party next week. Not that this post will be made public before then but I will make it so after the party.
So here's what happened. After work yesterday, my mom and I met up at VJ's and headed out. We stopped at Best Buy for a little while to look around and then it was on to grab Craig from work. From there we headed over to Mallabar's. They really treated us nice as we were trying different things on, asking to see this and that and comparing the vest colours to a swatch of fabric that I had brought from Alex's dress.
Now I've been shopping with my mom, and she is normally pretty bored and stays really quiet all through the whole thing. This time however she was happy talkative, offering her opinion on which looked best. She was interested in what were doing and taking part. It really made me smile, and made me happy that we were doing this.
Craig was great to offering suggestions and pretty much willing to go with whatever I suggested. Its good to have such a surportive friend. Thanks.
Alex looked really disappointed when I did not come home with a blazer so I made up some bullshit story about how my mom and I were going to get together later in the week and get a blazer. Little while later I found out just how much she has been bugging others to encourage me to get one, and how upset she was that I was resisting. So I broke down and have told her that I have one and that it was hidden at my mom's place as a surprise for her. I hope she is not to disappointed that I rented a tux instead.
So I have posted this as a private post and will edit it to be public once the renewal is done no reason to risk the surprise
