(no subject)
I will preface this story with two tidbits:
--if you haven't already seen it, go see The Notebook
--I HAVE already seen it... I went with my cousin Shelly and my sister Krystal a few weeks ago. We adored it.
Okay... the second tidbit is necessary for the full enjoyment of this story.
Tuesdays, Shelly and I have off work... my sister only has to work from 2-6, so generally we hang out together... its our family TV night, we watch Last Comic Standing, Big Brother 5, and Outback Jack... well, last night, Shel and I were over at my sisters apartment watching our regularly scheduled programming... and it gets down to like, the last commercial break in Outback Jack, right? When all of the sudden, a preview for the notebook comes on. Shelly and I sat STRAIGHT up and just gasped and then we all sat in silence... and when it was over my sister goes-- wanna see if there's a late showing?? and we were like, uhhhh YEAH!
So yes. We got in the car, drove to the movie theatre and saw it again.
You know a preview is doing its job when it makes you literally drop everything and hightail it to the movie theatre. Oh man. What a fantastic film. Also, I cried WAY more this time... in fact, just THINKING about the movie during the opening credits, I started to cry. and then shelly looked over and started laughing hysterically at me... so then of course I started laughing... so we were stifling our laughter at this almost SILENT portion of the movie...
whatta night.
