my new fishies!!!

So my uncle in south jersey is moving, and he decided he didn't want to get rid of his fish tank but it would be too much of a hassle to move, so he told my mom he wanted to give it to her. Now, normally most people would think, okay cool, you got a fish tank, no biggie. Growing up I always had a fish tank in my room, up until maybe when i was 12 or so? So this would be nothing new. However, we didn't just get a fish tank. We got half the camden aquarium. His exact words to my mom were, "i want it to stay in the family." My response was, "does he really think the fish are going to out live him?" My mom told me it wasn't just the fish, that the whole tank was very big and very expensive... so my immediate response was, sweet, lets put it on ebay. My uncle paid a fish guy (who actually introduced himself to me as "Joe the fish guy") to dissassemble the tank, drive them up to us, and reassemble it in our house. It took the entire day on tuesday.
Its a 95 gallon salt water tank, filled with real live coral at the bottom, nemo, yellow tang, a shrimp, sea annemities (sp?), and a million other insane fish. Its absolutely gorgous. I can sit for hours watching them. I love it. We have to have a fish guy come regularly to keep up with it though, its unbelievable how complext this thing is lol My mom is not very good with pets/plants and things of that nature, so of course my brother and I got a good laugh at this and called my cousin up the day my mom told us about this and asked him if he thought this was something my mom could handle, its QUITE a bit of work to keep up with. But its absolutely amazing, even she loves it. Theres a whole bunch of noctornal fish that dig and hide under the coral and only come out at night, its so weird. Its really the high light of my winter break, its pretty ridiculous. They're pretty much the coolest fishies ever, who would have thought a pet you can't really play with could be so much fun.

we call that guy ugly, lol

hes so strange, and he only swims at the top of the tank

nemo!!! matt cohen gave nemo the nickname of binky, i like it lol

nemo is the coolest fish, hes always swimming around the front. i think he likes the attention

the hermit crabs are hysterical to watch when they eat

there are a whole lot of fish that hid in the back of the coral so I couldn't get pictures of them, i will in due time

The tank is sooo big, it kind of doesn't really fit in the room but we had no choice in the matter, lol I'm gonna miss them when I go back to school, seriously. I love them. My dad would really love this, I wish he was able to enjoy it. He was really into fish and always wanted to get a better tank than the one we had when I was younger but my mom never let us get any cool pets. I want more clownfish like nemo. I already started researching salt water fish, they're SO expensive. I bet if my dad was still alive he already would have bought more fish for the tank. He'd love this. Maybe thats why I've gotten so into them.

I had other things I wanted to write about, but I'm going to bed instead.
