starting junior year
I'm pretty sure if you could log in and see my drop/add history, you'd think i was skitzophrenic. My schedule has changed SOO many times in the last few days. I think I have it set, although, I guess after my interview with Jade Tree Records for an internship on Wednesday we'll find out if it's going to change again or not. If I get the internship I'm dropping one of my classes, because I think it would be too much work to carry 15 credits worth of classes AND spend 15-20 hours working there. If I don't get the internship I'm going to keep what I have, and possibly add one of the classes I dropped a while ago, Its basically a mess. I've been so overwhelmed, I hate having the start the semester and still not having everything settled. It's all good though.
A lot has happened, I guess. I'm glad to be back here. Some things that have been going on, in true jackie miller plus/minus lj post format:
+ finally getting to watch the deathcab dvd with frances and mike before i came back to school!
+ hanging out on the deck with the gang the night before i left.
+ moved into the apartment. 5403 university courtyards. LOVE IT. its huge. it's amazing<3
+ my own bathroom!!!!!!!!!
+ megans boyfriend bringing her flowers, and a rose for each of the 3 roomates. we love him.
+ seeing everyone, seeing everyone elses places, having everyone come see hours, unexpected visits, & dinner guests.
+ going with brandon to his show somewhere in PA at this arcade/bowling alley/fun center. long car ride there in traffic to catch eachother up. played lots of games and bought useless toys with all the tickets from the games. got to hear all the new songs he had been talking about all summer. the show was unorganized, but the 2 of us had fun, and i enjoyed their set. we didnt get back till close to 3 in the morning.
+ going to west chester, pa the next day with julia to see sincerely monroe. i didn't tell scotty and jason i was coming, but she told bob. parked on lacey street. got there late so i didn't get to surprise them like i wanted to, so at first i was bummed. we watched on the front/side. scotty saw me in the middle of a song and started making faces at me from behind the drum set. when the song was over he yelled out to jason, "hey jason, do you see whos here?" and pointed to me. jason looked over and i tried to suddley wave and said hi to jason when he looked over. scott goes, "man randi, did you come all the way out from jersey tonight?!" this is all still in the middle of their set. i reminded him that i'm back at school in delaware, and he was like still thats great, and the rest of the band started making comments and talking to me. at this point the entire crowd was staring at me as the band stoped their set and had a conversation with me from the stage. i turned all red. they were really excited i came out. we hung out afterward reminising of good ybr memories and telling everyone stories from some good times, and scott also filled me in on what all the other guys are up to now. im glad scott and cliff patched things up. julia and i finally got to pick up our cds too. it's sooo good. i had fun getting to hang out with her too. the night made me really happy.
+ hearing back from jade tree!
+ getting my sylabus's and finding out one of my mwf classes doesn't have class on oct 13th and 16th, when we're going to california :)
+ knowing people in my classes
+ parties at friends places and knowing everyone there and kicking out random freshman.
+ "shenanaganza," good to see all the thompson kids.
- moving all my stuff into the apartment: 4th floor, no elevator, not fun.
- living with 3 people instead of 40 means not always having someone else awake with you or randomly coming into your room when your bored but too lazy to make phone calls. having to make more of an effort to see people.
- broken dishwasher
- unnecessary drama, OVER ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. stop being immature. i'm trying and all you're doing is talking shit.
- the nervous feeling in my gut drama gives me.
- finding out i have a midterm the day after california.
- not knowing people in my classes.
- papers/reading/work starting already.
