(no subject)
Well, I survived my first week! I have lesson plans for the first two days next week, and I have a certification test tomrrow morning, so actualy it doesn't feel much like the weekend.
I took a walk when I got back from school today. The University of Houston isn't in the best part of town, so I didn't go too far, but I got to see more lightning and thunder, which was very cool (except I was about twenty minutes from the dorm and I was afraid it would rain).
I realized that it has been taken a step further at school; I am now known to the kids as "the tall one." I didn't hear it, but another Phoenix person did, and was cracking up.
It's been so exciting this week to see the kids we're going to be teaching and to be able to say hi to them in the halls, but now I'm so nervous. I'm afraid to walk in there the first day armed with our rules and our procedures. It'll be interesting, and I'm sure I'll be even more terrified as the weekend progresses.
Off to study! (I thought I was done with studying!)
