I'm not up to a whole lot unfortunately. I graduated from the University of Louisville in 2003 (I transferred there from Murray in '02; that's where I'm from and I was not happy with Murray and wanted to be closer to home). I have a BA in English but I am currently unemployed. I have floated around from one job to the next but I'm still not sure what I want to do. I am thinking of going back for a masters in library science, but even that's up in the air. Right now I'm just trying to find something to pay the bills and get me out of my parents' house =( I'm sure you can relate to the liberal arts' student's curse: study what you like but jobs are almost impossible to find.
Other than that, I do what I love most: gaming. I see from your journal that you're also a gamer (I sorta had a feeling you were anyway). I play World of Warcraft a lot (maybe too much) and I run a D&D game every Tuesday night. Did you go to GenCon this year? I went, and it was my very first con of any kind, gaming or otherwise, and had a blast...I have a recent post about it in fact.
I like to rant about politics and religion, too. Not long after the semester I had your class, I became an atheist. I had been a devout Christian before I got to Murray but I slowly began opening my eyes as I went through my first two years. Classes like yours taught me elements of critical thinking that were, in my opinion, the most valuable thing I took away from my college experience. I've since become something of an amateur philosophy buff and love debating and critiquing religion.
BTW, I know aneyi from Murray also. We dated for a while, the semester after I had your class I believe, and still remain friends today.
Off to watch Rome now...I'm sure we'll have plenty more to talk about in the future...I'll send you an IM sometime if I see you online.
