One week down....
I had an awesome first week of classes. I have have five classes full of optimistic students (well, at least 3 or 4 out of every class seem awake, so that's enough to count), and I'm happy. I feel good.
I'm still getting my office situation taken care of. So far, there is no 'net in the nursing building where my office is, and only one phone line (although all the phones in the building ring when someone calls, which is annoying). I don't have a key to the building yet due to administrative BS. Apparently, the head of the nursing program is hoarding all ten keys for a time when she has ten faculty instead of just two. Consequently, I have to wait until the chief security officer makes me a new key.
Eventually things will get smoothed out. I'm not really complaining. It's just amusing, really.
This will be a good semester.
