Progress Report

Well, my first day of classes is going pretty well so far. My two ENG 101 classes are just too short, though. I'm used to one three hour class a week, not these puny fifty-minute classes thrice a week. I just get into my groove when it's time for them to go. Aside from that, though, the students in the classes seem fairly enthusiastic, with a handful who actually seem excited. One class is pretty small (12 students), so I should get to know them pretty well.

Right now I'm sitting in Jackson (39 miles away from McKenzie), getting ready to teach my ENG 111 class to these non-traditional Success Program students. I noticed from the roll that a good number of them took my ENG 101 class at the start of the summer, so that's cool. It will be good to see them.

Class starts in about an hour, so I guess I need to start looking over the (updated and finally correct) syllabus I was handed right before I got into my car to come here.

Heh. Tonight's class should be interesting....
