Laptop woes
The IT department STILL doesn't have my laptop ready. They've been promising me the damn thing for months now, and it's getting down to the wire (so to speak). Classes start Monday, and I have one at 9:00 am. I'm getting ready to head out of town sometime this afternoon (hopefully not to late) to visit my friends Randi and Eric today and tomorrow. Sunday I was going to devote entirely to working on getting my syllabuses and paper assignments revised. Then I could print off copies bright and early Monday morning and be all ready for class.
But IT is messing with my plan. If I don't get my laptop today, then I won't be ready for class on Monday.
Why, I can hear you ask, don't I just use one of the computers in the library? Well, a good question! Because all of my files are saved to the college network, and I can't get to them. They're going to transfer all of this stuff over to my laptop, but that won't help me much if I don't have it.
Grrr!
