Yay!

I just got done with my first day of meetings. I start again tomorrow at nine in the morning.

Things went well. Sure, it wasn't always exhilerating, but it was pleasant being part of this organism that is the Bethel College faculty. I met a lot of people who I hadn't seen before, and I clicked with a lot of them immediately. (There's this one really young history teacher with his Ph.D. who is really cool.) I never felt this kind of universal rapport with anyone at any of the other places I've worked at, so I see this as a good sign.

I still don't have my laptop, though, which sucks. I haven't had a chance to update my syllabus yet. I did find out that my ENG 010 class didn't make, so it was replaced by a 101 class, which means I'll be teaching four ENG 101 classes this semester. That's a good thing, because it means less prep time, and I enjoy teaching composition (as opposed to remedial writing and grammar in 010).

Life is still good.

(Something depressing had better happen in my life and soon, or else I'm going to lose all of my readers. Heh.)
