Rejected again....

You should submit to Kudzu.

And feel good. I've never written anything that I submitted to a decent enough publication that I get rejected. I've had things published in the campus book, which publishes anything grammatically correct enough to be legible, and that's it.

Well, I encourage you to submit things.

I highly recommend buying Poets Market 2006 or Writers Market 2006. Excellent books, with lots of good advice.

But that would require me to write. Something I haven't done in about a year.

I'm working on a poem called "Ringworm."

Write a poem about a time you were sick, or someone you knew were sick, or about sickness.

Optionally, write a poem with a title that is a compound word made up (like "Ringworm" or "Lifeline" or "Showdown"). Kudos if the component words are radically different.

... I don't really know anyone who has ever been sick, and I've never been very sick myself.

And I don't like to write poetry.

Ahhh, well.

I'll see what else I can come up with. I had this big long list of writing prompts. I'll see if I can find it.
