(no subject)

Ok, so update. Last time I mentioned a program about teaching others about the environment. From the get go, I was excited about it, but wasn't sure it was an exact fit. Then I found Urban Planning at PSU. Everything fell into place. I feel so good about it. I would be working for a city on figuring out how to make lives for its citizens better. Hopefully I would one day work for Portland because it is so progressive in this movement and has been for decades. It even includes sustainability AND Anthropology. I can't start the program until Fall '09 but I am going to read every book I can on the subject to make sure it is a good fit. I have already started to read one that was written by the professors in the program at PSU. The first night I got it I couldn't put it down.

The only thing I am worried about is that the program wants you to have a 3.0 Cum, and I only had a 2.64. I obviously didn't care that much back then... Does that matter? Can I show them with my letter of interest and GRE scores that I really want to be in the program? I am asking you jess because I am sure you are the only person that reads this...

I also just finished "A New Earth". I am going to make everyone in my family read it. Jess, you should too. Just in the past day or two, it has helped me realize that I am not what I think. That thinking is just as much in your control as your heart beating... The things you think are just your ego talking and to not let them keep you out of this present moment. I know that is hard to do for you and me both... But everyone, in this world, should read this book. Listen to Oprah.

Until next time. Laters...
