Several years ago, I changed my projector. I noticed that it now took several minutes to get a HDMI signal. I hunted and searched off and on for those same years to see if there was a fix that would solve it.
Today, I find that it's not the projector - it was actually the Onkyo receiver that was causing the grief.
Apparently once upon a time, Onkyo cheaped out on specifying quality capacitors on that range of receivers, and the relatively high heat inside the case causes them to malfunction.
I have now ordered some replacement caps - these ones will handle 105C.
Now to see if I can find my soldering iron and solder.
