While drinving my mother's car back from her office to renew my liscence and get all that fun stuff done the blasted thing stalled. The battery was uncharged, in the same way a vampire is undead. On 34th and 52nd. Towards the end of morning rush hour. A black woman who had gone to Bayshore offered to help me try to jump the thing. Well, that didn't work out too well and twenty minutes later I was riding in a tow truck to a garage so that they could replace the battery, look at me like I'm an idiot for not changing it sooner on account of the blue corrosion salt crystals, and generally let me feel like an ass. Also, I had to pay for the tow, which came to $60 of the last $58 I had. Now I have an overdraft fee. Fortunately my buddy Aaron could make it out to where I was to get me. Lunch/breakfast was on his mom, who is one of the sweetest women I've ever met.
Long story made miniscule I had to pay more than I had availible to have my mom's car towed to a garage that she should have taken it to months ago for relatively routine maintanence, but I lucked out and got a free lunch and plans to go to a driving range later this week.
