i'm on my teaching break... weird weird week. still trying to get the computer back up and running, and fed-ex isn't cooperating with hp on getting a boot disk out to me. anne-marie and i broke things off last night, pretty mutually, and then on the way home from jersey at 1:30 am, i was pulled over 3 times within a half hour for my headlight being out. it just went out this week due to the ever elusive electrical short in my car and by the third cop i just said "look, you're the third officer in 5 miles that's pulled me over". he was nice, but the other two... lets just say i'm not agreeing with ice-t, but I UNDERSTAND.
john and i auditioned a drummer the other day too. he was alright. a little too laid back and behind the beat for the most part, and he's not as good as silliman. though, that's a tough order... the silly man has it goin' on. :) this jason guy plays bass too though, so we might have him out for the next two shows we have lined up that silliman can do with us, so we'd have a full band.
the tour to LA is a little shaky right now with the churchills. we might end up leaving much later than the 20th and playing some shows in nyc and maryland... try to make a little money and then fly out to san fransisco instead of drive, do a few shows there, a few in LA and then fly home around the 6th or so.
the sign shop made me an offer this week and i'm working on revising it to ask them for a better deal on benefits, then talking to them about it next week. also, i got another job at another teaching studio for 2 days a week teaching drums. that should be fun. i can't wait until i have all this straightened out with the sign shop, the teaching stuff and the churchills and just have something steady and at least... hell, 75% predictable in the next year or so. i want a place to live and a dog, goddamnit. the dog doesn't even have to be that predictable. i can deal with occasional carpet poop and garbage digging.
