"Father of the Bride"
You've loved her far more and much longer than I have, but now its time to walk her down the isle.
I understand your hurt and insecurity when you know whats happening and cant control it, but you need to know thats she's good where she is now.
Never the one to stand in front of anyone's happiness, I ask of you to give me her hand.
Pictures, history, events, hugs, kisses, and fights aside, you've accumulated far more memories with the bride and now its time to pass that torch. With all the courage I can round up, Im asking you to help me make her the happiest woman ever.
On this day, she cant wear white because you've tainted her throughout the years. You've made her vulnerable, and uneasy. Im not like that. I value you her and in ways, grown in sync with the fact that she's let me in. Let her finish that process. Let her live. Hurt just once more and I guarantee you'll witness happiness in the purest form.
The crowds waiting, the organ plays, and its time to give her away. Hold her hand, walk her down the path that leads to me, and give her one last kiss goodbye. We'll both admire you for it.
