Yummy abuse
Have you ever run across words or phrases that just annoyed the crap out of you?
My #1 most annoyingly stupid of all time:
The use of the word 'Yummy' to mean something they like. I see this all the time in crafting circles and it makes me want to reach through the computer and smack the shit out of the people using it.
Yarn is yummy. Beads are yummy. Fabric is yummy. ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!
Come on people. Edible items are yummy. I can even see things like perfumes, plants, men, etc as yummy...basically any items dealing with taste or scent. Yarn, beads, wire, metal, fabric....these items are NOT YUMMY!!! Get a fucking clue!!!
And the ones who start getting creative with the spelling of the word (YUMMMEEEE,Yummiiee, etc) make me wish I could personally rip out their guts with my own hands.
I can't say why this one seems to annoy me so much. Even "I could care less" doesn't bother me anywhere near as much as blatant yummy abuse.
