I owe my journal a ginormous update, and every time I sit down to do it, I get interrupted and then overwhelmed when I sit back down and try to organize my thoughts, because of course i have been a big ass slacker in the LJ dept. Ugh. Why do I do that?? Well, anyway, this is just a quick Reecie post. He turned the big Cinco on Sunday. We had a pretty chill day, and Non cooked a yummy bday dinner and we had a piñata ( such easy, cheap entertainment.lol) and a small cake with just us and Nonni and Poppy. He opened his presents from us, and had a hay day with Landon and Hayden. His party is out here this weekend. The guys kindly asked me NOT to have his party on his actual bday since it fell on Daytona 500. Turns out the race rained out anyhow...but it's fine. Gave me an extra week to procrastinate, I mean plan. ;)
My how five years whizzed by. Amazing how that happens. For the wild child that he spent the majority of his life being, up to this point, sure has settled into a good little, well behaved five year old. Granted, he is quick with the tongue, which keeps us worried for what he will say to whom.lol and also cracking up, most days. He is in one simple word. A hoot. I have no doubt he will keep Mrs. Kirkman laughing, but i also know he is ready for kindergarten. Lol something I wasnt so sure of even just a few months ago!! He has made huge strides at preschool since the fall. He has always been smart as a whip, but he didn't really apply himself with the writing, ect. That he needs to have at this point until the last few months. And once he did. Wow. :)) very proud of him. He is doing really well with sight words. Has his first and last name down great, and legible, finally.
He has kinder round up on Friday. He is excited. I doubt he will be nervous like Landon was, because he knows who his teacher will be, he is very familiar with her and the school staff in general. What can I say....he is mr. Personality.;)
He goes for his 5 year well child next week, so I will come back and post his stats for FMR then. Not to worry, Landon has him worried about the "tons of kinder shots" he has coming his way. Thanks dude.
Like I have said, reecie has given us a wild ride, kept us on.our.toes. And provided us with endless laughs and so much joy. :))
I will try to get back in to do a full update in the next couple of days. Everyone else is doing well though in short. :))
