Got a new job!

I quit the ice cream shop and found a better job on the Upper East Side in a hair salon called Dueto. I am a receptionist. It is a very busy high end salon. They totally did my hair. They cut it, about 4 inches-then died it backt o my original brown color and put in auburn and copper highlights and then toned my hair this dark red color. It looks very New York. The people i work weith are totally cool and this job will be better in so many ways. I don't have to work until 2 in the morning and wait for the subways in the middle of the night. I get to take a crosstown bus through central park which is pleasant. However, yesterday it took me an hour to get across town on the bus bcuz the traffic was so bad bcuz the president was inManhattan doing something. I got out and walked at one point and i should have done it a lto sooner to get home quicker. I really like my new job. Except i still have to work 2 more shifts at the ice cream shop this week. And i am also starting the hair salon so i;m very busy. I have been working a lot and making a bunch of money, so thats good. School is okay, i am here now just chillin before my nexty class. My guys keep calling me but i haven't felt like talking to jon or zach and me and adam play phone tag, i like this israeli guy at school, hes the front runner right now. I dont know i'm just going to chill and let them spend cash on me but i dont want anytning serious, its just a waste of time for me right now. I am stareting to feel like i've been here forever, which is good. I love NY and like feeling lilke i belong. i met this 30 year old orthodox jewish woman on the bus yesterday. she was telling me how she just got married 3 weeks ago and they knew each other for three months, i asked her if she loved her husband and she merely reepeated my question and changed the subject. She was a virgin until 3 weeks ago though, and i untactfully announced it to the rest of the people on the bus. But then i let her use my cellphone so she forgave me for embarrasing her. I also met this nice black courier named vicky. We had a hour to kill on the bus so we all talked about our lives. thats what i really like about nyc, you meet inetresting people every day and have new experiences, most of which you'll forget but there are always those rememorable few...
