Another Crazy Banquet Under My Belt...
Alright so it's Sunday night already. Where oh where do I begin? It was quite a long weekend. I suppose I can start with AKPsi's Banquet...
Friday I skipped work to get ready. Stephanie and I headed over to her apartment to get dressed and she did my makeup. She always makes me feel like I have no idea what I'm doing with makeup. Are there classes for this sort of thing? Anyway, then we came back here and Megan did my hair for me which was really nice of her.
Then we headed over to Nate and Andrew's for the pre-party. Everybody looked pretty snazzy in their formal wear. Andrew saw me and shuffled me into his bedroom where I was forced to sign each and every Banquet award (about 45). My hand was really hurting towards the end. He watched me do it and the whole time I secretly hoped that he thought I looked nice. There's wasn't a whole lot of talking because of the loud music.
Then I returned to the party. When I got to the dining room table, Stephanie announced "Katie NEEDS a shot!!" I don't like taking shots but I played along. At least it was Captain Mo and not tequila. I hate tequila. ewwwwww. Anyway, this shot was straight from the bottle, so I drank some and faked the rest. I did the same thing with my roman coke. Danny made THE BEST one I've ever had. It had a twist of lime and wasn't too strong. When I was about half finished someone, either Chris or Sam announced that we were all going to chug. So I pretended. Lol, a lot of people bought it too. I finished the rest on my own time. Then I ran into Jesse who had an unopened Coronita which is a baby Corona. He agreed to let me have it just as long as I gave him the bottle because he collects them.
This was enough to make me "happy" and is actually a little more than I usually drink but I felt fine. By the time the buses came to pick us up my buzz had worn off. *sigh* those 20 minutes were fun. This is where I got all responsible and motherly. On the bus on the way to the Museum of Art, one of my favorite pledges got sick. I felt really bad for her because she never drinks and I think she did it just to fit in. I spent the first hour in the bathroom running a clinic for the people who had had too much to drink, holding hair back, pushing water, that kind of thing. Even Stephanie was there at one point just bending over the sink and crying because her head hurt so bad. I eventually got away and had dinner at a table with Wiran, Ashley and Mike. Food was pretty good, but not great.
Then all of a sudden it was time to give out the awards. I'm pretty sure Andrew was drunk because he was acting weird around me. Anyway, even though we had a microphone, it was still difficult to hear us so we ended up screaming into it. Meh.
Everyone liked the glassware, full-sized martini glasses, that I picked out. I hope when I'm committee head next semester all goes well. I've already decided that Stephanie, Ashley and Sabrina will be on the committee. Perhaps an Austin Powers theme? Who knows. I've got all summer and next semester to plan.
The bus ride home was short and full of drunk people. Patrick kept yelling "KATIE CRIST IS THE HOTTEST GIRL I KNOW!!!" from the next seat. When I got off the bus I couldn't find Stephanie anywhere and no one had seen her. That wouldn't be a huge problem if my bag (housekeys, wallet, that sort of thing) hadn't been in her car. I finally found her in the backyard and got a ride home with Ashley, Michelle, and Mike.
Saturday I went to an accounting review session and it helped so much. I really need to do well on this test.

-read Chp 9
-made Chp 9 notecards
-read Chp 14 slides
-did all chp 14 homework problems
-went over Review packet

All of today I studied between loads of laundry and then went home to see my parents for dinner. Wish me luck for Tuesday!
