Today there wasn't a quiz in accounting. He's scared us all into studying...and hey, it worked. I understood everything in the lecture instead of writing myself notes of what to go over later. I was still bored, but in a "this is easy, let's move on" way. I dunno.

I scammed some free orange chicken from Panda (we had coupons) with my friend Stephanie and ran into Karen and Sedona who were either really into their Bruegger's sandwiches or didn't feel like talking. In any case, Stephanie took over with a few drunken stories. Afterwards I tried to explain that Karen and Sedona aren't really the drunken story type. I have a lot of different friends that really don't mesh well. I don't understand why, but it's always been a problem.

I wanted to go to Karl Eller's talk about his new book at 5, but it's 5:23 and I'm still at work. Poo. Tonight I must finish my astronomy paper and maybe some accounting so I can go to Disneyland with a guilt free conscience...well almost.

For the first few weeks of french, my teacher followed the common syllabus so when my aunt bought the plane tickets for LA, it seemed there was nothing I couldn't miss on Monday. Since then he's abandoned the common syllabus and now assigns us whatever homework he feels like. About a week ago, when someone asked when the first test was, he said we we're having any. Just a quiz or two a week up until the final. So what to my surprise did I hear today in class?? Test on the first 4 chapters Monday morning. I don't get back into town til Monday night. Grrr.... He said I could take it on Tuesday (I think, thick accent), but I mean how am I going to do that? During class? out in the hall?...wtf? I'm starting to believe all french teachers are flaky.

*sigh* another missed call from someone I don't know who didn't leave a message. This is quickly becoming my pet peeve. oh what did you want 621-7766?
