What a long day. I didn't even have time to eat lunch. And also, to quote Robin Williams as Mrs. Doubtfire, "If I ever find the misogynistic bastard who invented heels, I'll kill him!" Today was the Eller Career Fair and my God it was full of tension. Saturday is the big day: Professional Admissions Interviews and Assessment tests. *gulp*
My dad took my to dillard's last night and I bought a very nice suit. I've wanted one with a skirt for a while now. I just need to remember to buy new pantyhose. We had this woman named Esther help us. I could tell she had been working there, or at least in retail for a while because she knew where everything was and what size everything was before she read the tags. When one jacket didn't work out she'd suddenly exclaim, "to Jones New York!" and in a flash she was gone, weaving in and out of clothes racks. My dad would stop to look at something and I'd say "c'mon dad, we're gonna lose her!!" Some of the ladies brought me suits that we're appropriate for the interview, lots of patterns and stuff with pants. I really liked this jacket from BCBG but it was too flashy. But Esther knew exactly what she was doing. It felt a little weird having people cater to me like that though. It sort of reminded me of that part in Pretty Woman, except I was looking at business suits and not cocktail dresses. Hrm.
My mom gave me a ride home so I wouldn't have to walk in those *looks at shoes with extreme rancor* While I was waiting for my mom, some boys walked by and asked "He's late isn't he?" I nodded not wanting to explain the situation. Then they said, "you should dump him." Yes, perhaps I should dump my mother...;) kidding.
Hrmm what else? Tonight I need to study for my astronomy test and compile all of my notes. Then I'm going over to Stephanie's so we can study for the assessment and she can help me figure out how to do my hair for the interview. Friday night we're going over to Jessica's for dinner and more studying. Jon is coming too. I hope he doesn't mind hanging out with all my girlfriends. tehe.
