I need a rage icon, but this one will do.
This icon has been getting way too much mileage over the last few days.
I cannot have any conversation about current events with my mom. Whenever I try to make a point she thinks I'm deliberately calling out Republicans, no matter the political affiliation involved.
You know what? I don't care if you're so far to the right you go to gay-to-straight conversion camp while carrying seven automatic rifles. I don't care if you're so far to the left you're still burning bras. I don't care that this horrible man who shot Gabrielle Giffords and tons of innocent people was a non-politically affiliated whack job Satanist or whatthefuckever people are saying about him now.
If you put out a campaign poster with crosshairs on the states of political candidates, and one of those candidates ends up getting shot, there are stupid people who are going to take that literally. And even if you're lucky enough that it may have had nothing to do with the incident, I think you need to be a bit liable. If not criminally then at least morally.
