Get Along, Try Again!
Now for some better news (friends already know about the recent job search/family horror, b/c I didn't want to spill my guts in public):
Last night, after a youth group core meeting, another girl there a few years older than me asked me how the job search was going. Though that just made me groan, "Don't ask," when she asked me if I thought about temping I filled her in about the not-having-a-temp-job-for-over-three-weeks--and she recommended her agency! It was one I hadn't heard of, and I jumped at the chance of adding another to my list. So, if this works out, that'll make FOUR temp agencies I'm signed on with, one of which has not been helpful at all, another that hasn't been helpful yet but may soon be, a third that's been on haitus for 3+ weeks, and this fourth that'll hopefully come through.
All I know is I'm getting kinda hungry . . . and am dreading the bills at the end of the month. But at least there's some potential for work that wasn't here yesterday or the day before that, and that's always good news.
By the way, buried among some recent comments is my latest endeavor: rewatching the original Slayers! It's soooo weird hearing Hayashibara Megumi's lovely voice bringing spunky Lina to life after being so used to her cold, Haibara monotone. At some point in Detective Conan, they've got to let that girl sing!
