Okay, so after not updating my LJ for ages, I bring y'all a meme from my sister
genikeyks' quiz journal (
genicakes). This should be fun.
And to follow in the footsteps of
candy__chan, a bit of blatant fic plugging (why didn't I do this before?):
Grieving for

The First Day Blues for

You got the answer to the first question right! It is from the last verse of "American Pie", a pretty yet melancholy ditty that's over six minutes long.
Okay, Death Note is about how a shinigami (death god) named Ryuk purposefully drops his notebook, a Death Note, into the human world to cure his boredom. Any human whose name is written in the Death Note dies. A straight-A high school student named Yagami Light picks it up and, partly driven by his own boredom, decides to use it to kill off criminals. When the body count rises, a great detective named L tries to catch this unknown killer, who people take to calling--Kira.
Last hint (unless you wanna Google the lyrics?) is "Kira". The song title is VERY similar! Refrain of the same song:
"Sure he's a [blank],
But I really want him,
And I gotta have him tonight.
Straight heartbreaker,
But it really don't matter,
'Cause I really want him tonight."
Oddly enough, the lyrics perfectly suit Misa, the girl in the first icon. (She falls in love with and is crazily devoted to Light.) The second icon is L.

No, I'm NOT going to search those lyrics on the Internet! That'd be cheating . . . and besides, my pride's at stake here! ^_~
Okay, so here's my wild guess: "Playboy"? "Heartbreaker"?
Mann, I'm really bad at these guessing games. . . . Would make for an interesting meme, though. ^^*

"Bye, bye, Miss American Pie,
Drove my Chevy to the levy,
But the levy was dry.
Them good ol' boys are drinking
Whiskey and rye,
Singing 'This'll be the day that I die,
This'll be the day that I die."
You're getting close! Remember, the first hint was "Conan always catches the killer." The second hint was "Kira". When a Japanese person says it, what does "Kira" sound like? That word fills the [blank] in my last comment--and is the name of the song.
