On Monday I decided to make a lifestyle change.
No, I'm not ....cutting my hair
....turning ghey
....moving to another country (yet)
....giving up World of Warcraft
Just two words: Self Image
I signed up at the Wellness Center at Mariner's Hospital (the Key LArgo hospital). I have a 6-month membership which gives me access to all sorts of horrible get-in-shape machines. Contraptions like free-weights, chest-press machines, elliptical machines, and everything needed to make your abs hurt. I also get a personal trainer to set me up with a plan and access to a nutritionist. Plus...free towels, Sirius Radio, and plasma screen TV's.
All for just $50/month and a sexier Wayno. Good deal I think.
Yesterday was my first day there. They did an initial fitness test, general stuff. My max chest press was somewhere around 220 lbs. And my max leg press was...well, the machine only goes up to 485 lbs and I did that no problem. I could probably do around 510 lbs I think.

Tonight I'm going over to Sharky's Pub to play a few on bass. I haven't worked out a definite night/week to play on stage. What's the reason? I can't find a suitable musician. The guy I was going to play with refuses to "practice". He wants to work it all out on stage and improvise. I don't work that way. I approach music with numbers and repetition, theory and practice. So Ted and I haven't worked out yet as the awesome guitar-bass duo that we'd talked about. On the positive side, it forced me to learn how to play about 10 songs. The more songs I learn how to play, the better musician I become...regardless of whether or not I play on stage.

I have a stupid, unrealistic crush. Goddamnit. I hate myself for it. But she's sooo adorable. Like a cuddly bunny.
