I'm feelin' pretty good lately. I mean, do you know what it feels like to
* sleep until noon,
* make a killer breakfast,
* spend the next four hours recording music for your new album,
* chat online for another couple hours, and then
* spend an hour riding your brand new bike?
Lemme tell you, it's like makes me hard just thinking about it. The best part was coming home, making a Giant Super Spinach Salad, letting it marinate in the fridge while I showered, then eating the yummy greenness all by myself.
My new bike is totally awesome. I'm gonna ride it every day and get some nice exercise. I heard on the BBC Radio (when I was in London) that to treat Depression, doctors are now prescribing exercise instead of medication. I can see what they're talking about. Not that I'm depressed, I'm not, but you do get a euphoric high afterwards.
Also, because of the time change (Daylight Saving Time) it doesn't get completely dark until 9:45pm. It's so bright so late that it's perfect for ending your day. Valencia has this river that runs through it. Only, there isn't any water in it because they moved it 5 miles away. So now it's a giant river sized park that circles the city and leads directly from my appartment to the Mediterranean Sea. Simply beautiful.
About my new album, Experiments in Spain. It's a lot harder to record an album by yourself than I thought. Especially without a drummer. Getting my timing down when laying the chords, bass line, lead guitar, and vocals...well, it's a pain in the ass. My goal is to have it completed by the time I return to America. I have about 2,1/2 months, I think I can get it done. I already have 3 / 10 tracks half way done. The problem is my Led Zeppelin covers (there's only 2) are hard, plus I'm not Jimmy Page. The album cover art is coming along. I have to mess around with photoshop some more. I conceived the album cover in Quantum Physics class, so you ought to love it.
Yeah I'd like to have a girlfriend or just a couple dates, but I'm having a great time with my album and my new bike. The girl would only get in the way of my playing. I mean, the other day I got out of the shower and, before I even got dress, I was playing the guitar. In my naked state of mind I was completely free. It inspired me to write a new song. It has nothing to do with Birthday Suits.
Check out my new bike! I named him Ferris.
This is Ferris. He's red and his hard plastic seat makes my ass bone hurt.
