2/3 through this semester

To start off, I should be studying right now instead of posting to livejournal. Oh well, I'm doing it anyway. I need to turn my life around right now. This semester started great. I was doing well in my classes, I was practicing a lot on trumpet and all of my lessons were going great. My tuba playing was the best ever and my composition

Oh Josh. I'm so sorry you feel this way. I'm sorry this all happened to you. You certainly don't deserve it. I know how hard you've worked. And I know you pour so much of yourself into everything you do... and you do everything! I know you feel like a failure right now, but I still think you're the greatest thing since sliced bread. You are in so many ensembles, and you're taking high level music classes, plus this bullshit AFS class and Professor MORON's class. You're one of the few people left in your year active in MENC, you're the GLUE that's holding our KKPsi chapter together at this point. You compose music and put in hours of work for the music department. You take a lot of crap from people, but never dish it out. You're a part of the music ministry at your church. All this and you STILL find time for your goofy girlfriend. Now, you're probably thinking something along the lines of "well, yeah. it's not a big deal. such is the life of a music major." But that's part of how great you are. You do all this (and it is a lot) and

there's probably no way you'll find what i'm about to say nearly as supportive as i'd like to think it could be.. but oh well..

and that's probably because i really don't actually have anything remarkable and life changing to say..

long pointless comment short.. i'm rootin for you josh.. i'm trying to think of something not stupid to type..but i'm really drawing a blank.. basically.. it'd be a shame for that department to lose someone like you..and as one of the few people that managed to put up with me in my time there.. i know i was glad you were there..and i'm sure everyone else would hate to see you go.
