hello again

Sorry that I haven't updated in a while. A lot has happened in the past 18 days so I'll give you the highlights in chronological order. First of all, wind ensemble/orchestra auditions happened. I felt like I did really well but unfortunately, Ann cut the trumpet section from 4 players to 3 players keeping me out. I think I would have been the 4th though, which is pretty encouraging. I may ask Ann about it, just out of curiosity. I came in as the weakest player in my class on trumpet and now I think I've surpassed all of them. She gave me the tuba part again without even having to audition on tuba which makes me feel pretty good about my tuba playing. I'm also playing 2nd bassoon in Schubert's 7th symphony because Schubert was stupid and didn't write a tuba part. I wish I were on trumpet but there's nothing I can do about it. Even on tuba/bassoon I think orchestra is my favorite ensemble. Okay, that's enough music stuff. Next, I'm no longer single. However, everyone who reads this probably knows that already. If you don't, I asked Debbie out to dinner last Friday and things have gone great since. I'm truly happy right now. I just wish I wasn't so awkward. I am a really awkward person when dating someone. I think that's fairly normal when first going out with someone so it's ok. Hmm...what else has happened? Oh yeah, URI yet again has pushed off our move in date for the new apartments so it's another week of fun in a triple in a freshman dorm where people are idiots and set of firecrackers at odd hours of the night. So I'm not happy about that. I've lived in worse conditions though so I know I can pull through. Well, I should probably be doing my form and analysis homework so I'll be going now.

PS Survey: Should I stay in college an extra semester (bringing me up to a full 5 years) and spend that semester abroad finishing up a Spanish major as well or should I just focus on getting out of here?
