So here's what my sister wrote in her Xanga. I think it's brilliant:
"ok - i have a statement to make. now, i know a lot of you guys feel like the world is trying to get you, and that your life sucks, and that your family is out to get you, etc. i feel the same way sometimes. i also understand that a couple of you are actually going through a rough time. so am i.
"but come on. you know full well that none of that is the case; you know the world is not trying to kill you, your life doesn't suck nearly as much as those of the orphan 5-year-olds in 3rd world countries, and your family loves you, and no matter how much they screw up, they truly are just trying to help you out. and those of you who are having a hard time of late - it's gonna pass. everything will turn out ok, your wounds will heal, and life will go on.
"also, a few of you are hatin' on christmas. that just ain't gonna work. i know, it's not quite the same since we found out that santa doesn't actually exist; but the spirit's still there, right? we can enjoy it just as much for different reasons.
