Sick all week

Feb 19, 2005 06:42

So, I've been quite sick all week, almost constantly coughing up extremely disgusting masses of thick yellow phlegm. I've been sleeping for 0.5 - 1 hours in general, waking as I choke and gag and cough on what's piled up at the back of my throat. Though today (Friday during the day) I actually slept for 3 or 4 hours at a time, in a row! Finally.

Thursday afternoon I went to my local doctor, and didn't really get a lotta help. He gave me a prescription for some amoxicillin, but said that was "just in case". He recommended Claritin-D for symptom relief, and that's been a total bust.

At the moment I'm feeling a bit less bad, sorta. I really hope this thing is starting to pass, but it varies enough that I can't really tell that yet.

I'm wondering what's up, since I've been lightly sick to nastily sick more often than not since just before I started back to work last November. I wonder if my low energy level is indicative of a low resistance to disease as well. Ick.

I'm really, really, REALLY ready to get my life back in a health state!

health, sickness
