Who: Rampant, Ate
What: Rampant is on the loose. Free. Himself. In complete control for as long as he likes. No one is around to stop him from doing whatever he wants. ...or is there?

After its brief reunion with Dante the devil departed with a wicked chuckle on its lips and the unspoken promise that it was by no means finished with the hunter had held it in check for so many years. Now that they were separated the devil had plans of its own to take full advantage of this for as long as it lasted. It had wanted this for as long as it had had a semblance of consciousness that could be called its own. Well now it was no longer just an entity within the other being; now it was its own individual and could do whatever it wanted.

First came a nightmare upon the city in the form of death, destruction, and Hellfire raining upon its deceptively peaceful exterior. The devil made sure to do it during the day, too, so that all could see and fear him. It was a good time. He had fun.

Second was more leisurely spent time and as the sun set the devil flew lazy circles in the air, watching the sky change colors with a fascination it barely comprehended within itself. As it began to get sleepy the devil looked for a place to set down and head into the third object of its desire. To create a place of its own and claim it completely. Then it would rest for as long as it wanted--and there would be no worry that when it awoke that the other would be back in control. No. It would be ready for another day all on its own.

It headed for a place it thought of as familiar and desirable: the clock tower belfry where it had taken more than one of its prey to feast upon. As it headed there it sensed something out of place though. Something else familiar. Something it decided it wanted to avoid in case it had plans of its own for the devil that were counter to its own desire of freedom.

Huffing, it steered away from the aura and hid its own perfectly behind a veil of distortion and misleading, false hints.
