me again
well, i am here at Will's house. he's napping before dinner. he's cooking chicken tacos for us tonight, and i am really looking forward to it.
we had plans today to meet Jennifer up by my house, cos there's an abandoned, busted out school bus near the train tracks, and she wants to do some portraits of us near it (me and Will) for her photography class. but Will worked out yesterday morning at the gym, then rearranged his bedroom, so he has been too sore to go anywhere. we rescheduled for tomorrow.
i am watching cameras on eBay. i can't get anything right now, but i am looking for a Minolta manual SLR X-700. preferably no more than $150, cos that is how much Jennifer paid for hers. but i want one, cos i want to start doing some serious photography.
i watched HD theater this afternoon- stuff about jungle snakes and shark fear. but i was REALLY moved by this festival they do in Brasil called Boi Bumba (i may have spelled that second word wrong). the town divides into red and blue teams and for 3 days in late June, the teams take turns telling the story about this farmer and his pregnant wife and - OOH! look it up, it gets me all in goosebumps!
but the festival nights are held in this big stadium, where each team takes turns presenting their floats and giant puppets and interpreted dances and songs. it looks AWESOME!
makes me want to visit Brasil even more! (hear that, Hero? *nudge nudge, wink wink*!)
