the trip to Ocean City was nice. to get there it took like 7 hours. there was a good amount of traffic almost to the city that delayed us. and we spent like an hour along the way getting lunch and stopping at cvs so jess could get her medicine. Jess and i went to a wawa and got dressed in our bathing suits hehehe. classy, right? but we went to the beach soon as we found a parking area around 4 or so. eric ended up coming about two hours later and then we stayed for another hour on the beach. then we were off to find a hotel/motel. there were a lot of no vacancies which, was expected being a saturday during the summer. but those that had some were in the 200's, practically 300's for a night. it was ridiculous. we ended up taking one which resulted in 100 bucks a person for the night. that was quiiiite over what i was expecting to pay but w/e. i like to tell myself that the having a lot of fun and that it was on a bus route/in the middle of everywhere we wanted to go to. So we walked two blocks to a seafood place for dinner and then decided to go to the boardwalk and we just walked around. this took until almost midnight. then we went to Seacrets which is a ginormous bar(s). theres 16 bars within this place, two levels, outdoor areas, dock you could walk to, live music/dance place. it was ridiculous and there were some really good drinks. jess got something called a dirty banana and it was a frozen drink that tasted like banana. i got a big bamboo which had a lot of rum. like 5 different types and some pineapple juice i think. very good. I had two rum and cokes as well and i was definitely feeling a bit more than tipsy. it was probably the lack of water and then the sun from the beach earlier. went to 7-11 and grabbed a sub and ate it and we went to sleep at around 3. got up at 9 and went to happy jack's pancake house. the best breakfast ever. i just got a simple bacon and eggs with some home fries and pancakes but it was soooo good. it def hit the spot. then we went back to the beach from like noon until 3. Then we decided to go change and get some drinks for the road because we were ready to leave and we were gonna stop by the outlets on the way so we didnt wanna show up in bathing suits. at the gas station eric accidentally left his keys in his truck and so we waited 30 min for a locksmith to come. then we left and stopped at sonic for dinner cuz we left ocean city at 4 and got to sonic at about 6. Then went to the outlets and got there at around 6:45 or so. it would have been sooner but there was so much traffic. i got my mom a coach purse and my sister a wristlet cuz their bdays are coming up soon. my sister is splitting the cost of the bag with me so it isnt too bad. while at the outlets i got a text from my boss asking if i could work 10am-6pm instead of 7am-3pm and i of course sad no prob cuz who wouldnt wanna sleep in some? then after the outlets it was time to drop jess off in baltimore and that was an adventure. I experienced the same problem when i went to pick her up in which my gps would kinda lose signal and would tell me to go down a streeet that i wasnt on yet. we ended up on her street and we could see the parking garage so i decided to try and be quick and ended up going down a one way street. luckily there were no cars coming at the time i turned down but eventually fixed myself. also, her parking garage's entrance was closed for the way i went in earlier. later did i find out the street down, the entrance was open on there for it. after that my gps ended up taking me through crofton and bowie to get home cuz it said that was the fastest way. not what i would have picked but, i made it home safely. so overall it was a really good weekend. i enjoyed it even though i spent more than what i was anticipating. and so after driving another 7 hours with small breaks in between, i am exhausted and am ready to sleep.ill be uploading pics later this week.
