you're a saddle

So, I start my comm paper last night at like 9pm and I finish it at about 2am. I wasn't exactly working on it the whole time, I took an hour break to watch law and order, but for the most part I worked on it the whole time. Once I had printed and stapled it and was ready to go, I check my email and see that she extended the deadline for the paper! It's not due until the 23rd now. I was fucking pissed. I stayed up until 2am for nothing. She sent this email the day before it was due at 5pm!?!?! What the hell? Couldn't she have done that like...oh, I dunno...YESTERDAY!! Needless to say, I skipped my 9:30 class this morning. I guess it's good though, b/c the paper I wrote was probably really bad considering I had NO idea what I was supposed to be writing about. It's all bullshit.

My dad's surprise birthday dinner was last night. I was surprised to see that everyone made it to the restaurant before my parents, so it really was a surprise. Especially my Aunt Mary Ellen and Uncle David who are chronically late. We went to the Texas Roadhouse on Hilliard-Rome and since it was his 50th birthday, they made him sit in a saddle. It was funny. As my mom and dad are walking toward the table, Liz asks me if we should say "Surprise!" and I say sure. Then David says "This isn't a surprise...is it?" I say "umm..yea. You told him, didn't you?" haha. Just shows the horrible planning of my mother. My Uncle Tim made my dad a helmet, like a old one a Viking would wear. He made it, not bought. It was really nice, it was blue and gray (the color of my dad's favorite football team). Of course, the bathing suit didn't come in time. Stupid speedo. Of course, the evening was filled was such fun questions like "when are you graduating?" and "what are you going to do with that major?" from my relatives. I loathe those questions. I'm sensing that I should be graduating very very soon, considering everyone is always asking me when. Like today, Eliana's mom asked me when I saw her at Giant Eagle. I honestly don't know, woman! After the dinner, Amy and I went to my parents for some cake and ice cream.

Amy and I went to see Waiting... on Monday night. It was pretty funny, but let's just say I'm glad I only paid a buck fifty to go see it. The little brother from Freaks and Geeks was in it, he was awesome. I love that show, too bad it was cancelled. All my favorite shows aren't on anymore, it's sad.

I did some major cleaning of my room tonight. I tend to let my room get really messy and then clean it up instead of keeping it neat as I go...I should probably work on that.
