Stop and Choke II

Jan 22, 2005 14:26

If you're wondering why this episode shares a similar title to a previous one, that is because my day was just like it was in the episode "Stop and Choke" (10 April 2004). So while yesterday featured me being stress-less with no more exams, today the stress came back into me when I had to wake up at 6:00 this morning. Why? Because I had to be at work at 7:00. Slap me in the face. That's 45 freaking minutes earlier than I have to be at school every day. So I got there and the supermarket felt dark and gloomy. But in an hour it gets SO busy. If you remember from my previous episode, I was working the day before Easter where people were frantically buying food for their holiday meals. Today it was just as crazy, maybe even crazier. But back then I was a lowly bag-boy. Today I was ringing. In case you don't know "ringing" is a slang term, the "verb" form of cashier in supermarket jargon. So beep after beep after beep, I cashed out several frantic customers and got out at noon. So I have the afternoon to myself and it'll most likely snow. At least there's no work I have to do.

Tomorrow I have to be at work early again, but not until 8:30. Except I'll most likely have to shovel snow to get out of my driveway. Yuck. So next week is my last semester of high school. And it has come to my attention that these next few weeks will be very critical to me, so that I don't make a major error that I committed last year. Ok ttyl everybody.
