Trick or Treat, Smell My Feet . . .

Tonight was the first Halloween in a long time that I've been home for trick or treaters, and I had quite a few. Most of the kids (and even some of the adults) were in costume, but nobody was carrying a special trick-or-treat candy bag -- everybody had trash bags, pillowcases, grocery bags, or (in at least one case) backpacks. The costumes ranged from face makeup and street clothes to zombie girl/murder victim (she had a stake through her middle and her dad had fake blood all over him, too) to fairy (a little three-year-old -- adorable!). The cutest by far were the mom and dad who came with their new baby (she looked about six months old). They had elaborate costumes -- mom was Pooh, dad was Tigger, and baby was baby Pooh. They looked like older parents, and I think the candy was beside the point; they were just so excited about showing off their baby. (She was warmly dressed, so I don't think they were doing her any harm.)
