Today was quite an interesting day.
This morning I was too lazy to get up, so I skipped my calculus lecture and only went to my Chemistry II and College Writing II classes. Chemistry was still reviewing what the course taught last semester…so it was quite boring to hear the professor talk on and on about the structure of elements and the degrees and change of charge on each molecule…. I nearly fell asleep. When I did place my head down on the desk, the boy in the seat in front of me and noticed I was bored. He made a funny face and demonstrated that felt the same way. We chatted a little during class, discussing how it was so boring to be reviewing stuff we already knew. At the end of class, he formally introduced himself as Nate and I told my name was Anna. I found out he lived in the same dorm house as Justin and I told I lived in an apartment near the bridge that connected North campus to East campus. It was nice to meet someone new this semester, but I needed to rush to College Writing.
I took one of the shortcuts through the building so I got there three minutes early. Justin had saved me a seat at the front of the class…oh goody… (> .<) In class we talked more about fairy tales and how each demonstrated a guide or relevance to a child’s growth and how it taught them morals. We also looked for symbolism in the stories Cinderella and Rapunzel. I found myself to be more active in class when I noticed I raised my hand and talked more than last semester. For the weekend we are to read and annotate Hansel and Gretel to write an essay due Wednesday. At the end of class as Justin and I walked toward the Southwick building, Professor Komperda (whom also happened to be my teacher from last semester) caught up with us since he was also walking the same way and reminded me about 10 times that the essay was due this Wednesday! I guess some professors really care and also he said he couldn’t forget about my unfinished research paper from last semester…so he knows about my streak of procrastination…. yikes…I really need to watch my toes in that class. (^_^);;
After putting back extra lecture notes and picking up new ones for physics at the Southwick tutoring center, Justin and I headed down to the cafeteria and I got some beef stew and pizza. Justin didn’t get anything because he said he wasn’t hungry. H was being a worrywart again since he was constantly thinking about the amount of work he needed to do that weekend and the shock of Tuesday really knocked the wind out of him.
After eating, we headed back to my apartment and at 3:30pm his mom came to pick him at the dorms on east campus.
After he left I took a shower, washed the dishes and did my laundry. After everything was done I reheated myself some dinner (chicken and steak…chicken liver!!! Mwhahahah) and watched Miss Congeniality. After eating I opened my charters book to the reading assignment and proceeded to do checking on the Internet until I got bored and remembered I needed to call Fannie back. We talked for maybe an hour, then I called Justin and talked to him until I got tired twenty minutes later and told him I would talk to him later. While I folded Laundry I watched Legally Blonde…it was nice but I was so tired. I stayed up long enough to meet Roxanne’s boyfriend Bill and his friend Tom before I headed to bed. He and his friend seemed like nice people, and really skinny with long hair too. It was then Roxanne opened the window and it was snowing heavily outside!! I was so happy!! I love the snow!! Though Roxanne on the other hand didn’t like the snow at all…(^_^); Mom and Fannie told me it was snowing in both their places, which made me believe that it wouldn’t happen over here for a few days since weather that occurs in both the places didn’t blow over to Lowell until a few days later.
Also living with Roxanne has been pretty good. No fights/ arguments over anything…yet (I guess maybe some are to be expected further down the road). If anything we get along pretty well and she’s pretty cool when it comes to chores and quiet hours. The best thing is that she got her 50ft Ethernet cable on Thursday and now she won’t need to be working in the kitchen all the time anymore. She can now be in the privacy of her own room and we both have our spaces. She is also a decent cook, and I can stand when she cooks me brown rice and mixed vegetable or pasta. So all is well with the adjustment with the new roommate.
