SILS = Trouble
This weekend was spent in Boston with one of my Sils. For those of you who do not know what that means (although, how could you not?) it means sister-in-laws Squared! Lesley and myself together leads to trouble! We found out this weekend that we are very VERY funny ladies. There will be many posts about this weekend, however, this one was the most important one thus is coming first. Below is the joke played on Kristen and Drew that sealed the envelope on Lesley and I being the most creative and funny Shermeta/McCauliff union!
Call from me to Kristen: "I need you to call me back it is sort of important. I do not think I can live with Lesley any more and I am not sure what to do with it. I think it would be a bad idea to live together and i am not sure what to do about this. Call be back when Drew is not around"
Call from Lesley to Drew: "I had a great time this weekend w/ Kourt and wanted to fill you in about that when you call me back. We looked at apartment stuff and are very excited to move in together!"
(I should note, at this time we were in the same car but our siblings had no idea)
I land in Mich and call Kristen again. She does not answer since she is with Drew. I call back 3 or 4 times until she picks up. Make small talk with her until she finally says "so what happened this weekend? Why would you not want to live with Lesley?"
This is the hard part for me but I power through: "Well, I just don't think we are compatible. I think it would be a bad idea. It was fun this weekend but I just know we should not live together. I do not want this in any way to affect how you see her because she is still great, but I know we can't live together. What do I do? I am still moving to Chicago so clearly I can't say that I just can't find a job"
Kristen was Struggling to understand this and was asking many more questions then I was prepared to answer! This forced me to cave and say "I am totally kidding. We had a great time and are so excited to move to chicago!"
Kristen: "You are kidding?!?! That is mean! You are shits!"
