The best way to keep a secret

Nov 21, 2005 18:56

The following is an e-mail that I sent out today:

It is time to pick a weekend for Kristen's suprise gathering. I have listed below the weekends that work best for Drew and Kristen. Please get back to me ASAP so that we can pick a weekend and start to look for cheap tickets. For the first weekend I look at airfare and it appears every one could fly for no more than 200 and almost every one would be 25 under that. If I do not hear from people I will simply pick a weekend and hope for the best. Remember....this is a SURPRISE and we all know how quickly she picks up on things. I am sure she will be contacting you all to get to gether over Christmas break so please make every effort to see her and not think "I will be in GA in a mo so it is okay" b/c she will know something is up. I repeat it is a SURPRISE and she is very perceptive! Get back to me when you can but please lets have a date before this weekend!

Kourt

Okay...it is important to take ones own advice about this being a surprise. You are all thinking "Kourt...she reads your awsome blog so the surprise is blown!" Oh no every one.....it ALREADY was blown! What I am about to say might come as a shock since few people are that dumb but it is in fact true! When she sent the wedding party a mass e-mail this summer I saved it for the purpose of this surprise weekend. Today I deleated kristen's address and sent the e-mail. After work I get the following e-mail "YOU BLEW IT" I think to myself "What is Kristn's roommate talking about?" Then I get it.....like a ton of bricks it hits me....Kristen had sent herself a back up e-mail to her OTHER EMAIL ACCOUNT! I SENT THE SURPRISE EMAIL TO THE GUEST OF HONOR!!!!
