Ooga chaka?
First week over, second one about to begin.
Things started off fairly neutral with my Charlie Kaufman/Wes Anderson class when I found out we wouldn't actually be WATCHING any of their movies but simply reading all of them IN CLASS and then discussing them. I'd be more pissed off if they weren't such good scripts but seeing as how great they are, no major complaints. After that it was a 20 minute nap followed by U.S. Foreign Policy taught by a man with two masters degrees and a doctorate in political science. While I listened carefully to what he had to say, I was distracted by two things. One being the question of why a man so accomplished was teaching politics at a small arts school nobody's ever heard of, and two being the gorgeous girl sitting across from me. I'm only human.
The next morning I rose bright and early (more early than bright) and headed off to adaptation at 10. The most amusing part had to be the one student who thought a class on adaptation meant the MOVIE adaptation. He mentioned it briefly and tried to pawn it off as a joke but I saw the desperation in his eyes. I get the feeling he won't be there come this tuesday. That night it was Rewriting and Revisions with the always affable Danny Kravitz. I didn't expect much from it other than a class with a bunch of friends from previous classes but I'm optimistic about it since it involves doing some shorts which I have a few ideas for.
After that it was a two day break followed by the Human Sexuality Seminar friday morning. The teacher, who looks suspiciously like this man, decided to break the ice with a sex slang crossword puzzle. It definitely marked the first time I heard a man over the age of 60 shout out "Six across is cock, but dick works too." Knowing the odd happenings of my life, it probably won't be the last.
Have a lot of new photos that are going to be added in the next few days and rather than shoving them at the bottom of all the existing folders right away I'm gonna make a 'New Stuff' folder where new shots will stay for a week or so before being moved, just so all (none) of you don't have to search through the folders to find new ones.
