...and then he was back

Got back into town last night with unusual ease. Downright suspicious. The flight was smooth, only a minor delay due to President Bush being at O'hare (I saw Air Force One, IT'S BIG), my bag came at the front of the line (better than not at all), and the el ride home was smooth and quick. Upon arriving home, I found that my bag had only been lightly tussled and inspected.

Agam and I made our way to the movies (for the billionth time this break) and saw Match Point. It's hard to say if it's one of Woody Allen's best simply because it's so un-Woodyish. But it was still quite awesome, definitely recommend it. At some point during the movie my eye started to hurt, not itch but actually hurt. It got steadily worse over the evening and now it's all puffy. I thought it was pink eye at first but then I saw that it was neither pink nor itchy so now I'm thinking it's just some weird infection thing and that eye drops should take care of it. If not, I shall become known as "Dan HugeEye." Almost sounds like my porno name....

So I found this band called the "Silver Jews" and obviously, I had to check em out. I was quite surprised however upon listening to them, they're more alt-country rockish than I would have guessed. Their first song on the cd starts with the line "Where's the paper bag that holds the liquer/Just in case I feel the need to puke." It then follows with several refrains of the infinitely awesome chorus, "I LOVE YOU TO THE MAX!" Ingenius.

In other Dan related news, I've decided to either pick up a minor in photography or somehow redesign my major centering on it. Seeing as how I've already registered for next semester and this leaves me with one year left to do all this, I'm guessing I'll be here for a little longer than expected. I'm going to talk to the advisor come monday and find out what the best way to do that would be and if there's any chance I can do it with graduating on time. In any event, it'll be nice to take some classes where they don't repeatedly tell you how big the odds are of you failing in life because of the field you've chosen. Yay motivation.

If you haven't checked recently, be sure to check out the rest of the Ohio pictures and I've also been playing with some older ones from the other galleries so feel free to take a look at those too.

Since the news has been filled the last couple days with nothing but death, be it mine collapsing, cerebral hemmorrhage, or just the usual handful of Iraq casualties, I have decided to be respectful today and not include a news story of incredibly local idiocy......................oooh what the hell, look at these dumbasses!!
