As of this writing, it's snowing outside. It caught me by surprise, even though I think the forecast for today did mention the possibility of snow. I think I'm excited about it even though I'm not the world's biggest fan of winter. By the way, you will probably hear me referring to the season as winter from now on, because for me winter really begins whenever it starts getting extremely cold and when it starts snowing. I don't really pay that much attention to the whole equinox/solstice thing. Winter is winter when I say it's winter: calendar be damned!
So it turns out that my math grade was okay. Better than okay, actually. I initially got a 55/60, which is a damn decent grade in and of itself. But he gave us ten bonus points on this test for board work that we did, so I actually ended up with 65/60. When added to my previous grades, this ended up giving me a perfect cumulative score: 130/130. I don't expect perfection to last -- in math, for me, it's impossible -- but it's nice to say that, at some point this quarter, I had a perfect score in math. And I expect to end the quarter with an extremely high grade. I'm proud of myself, because I've had to work really hard for this grade; my other classes so far have come pretty easily to me, but this has been a lot of hard work and it's really paying off. I so want to fax all of the math teachers I ever had a copy of my last test.
I get my paper back today in religion. I'm not sure if it's quite what he was looking for, so I'm preparing myself for a grade that will be less than what I was hoping for (but still within the realm of acceptable).
Because of the cold and the fact that I am a slacker at heart, I have dedicated this week to doing the absolute minimum: only what I have to do. Working ahead be damned (I've used that word a lot in this entry, hmm).
