Portugal and more...
Well, i returned from Portugal nearly 2 weeks ago, and have no excuse for only updating now. Or for abandoning Neo, which is something i've been doing since the end of my exams. Not being chained to my comp for revision has meant i barely spend any time sitting in front of it anymore... *sigh*
It was great. I mean, it was fucking boiling most of the time, and being of Asian decent, i don't need to tan therefore spent most of Noon-6pm in the shade, but ignoring the heat it was really good. We were pretty ideally situated (in our own private villa with swimming pool) around 15 minutes from the main Strip with restaurants and bars, and another 15 to the Old Town, which was more market stalls and typical Portuguese cuisine. We were out pretty much every night, apart from the Sunday, when we had a barbecue in the villa which was tons of fun (we stayed up until around 2am just chatting, all 16 of us). On Tuesday night we went to a club called Kiss (which is the best known club in the area), at around 2am and stayed out until 7am.
The one problem with Portugal was the men. I mean, i understand we were a large group of girls, but wherever we went we were either started at, honked at (by cars) or (in the bars) groped. It may have been received better from us had these men been in the slightest bit attractive, but they weren't. That aside, it was a great trip and my friends did the sweetest thing for me on the last night; since i'd organised the whole deal (more because i love organising things that i had to), at our last meal one of my friends,Georgia, gave a little speech thanking me, gave me a little card signed by them all and they all chipped in and paid for me meal. I was so touched.
Portugal aside, I haven't really done much. Since i got back, i've been working full Saturdays (9-6:30= eep!) and therefore sleeping it off on Sundays. Haven't seen much of my friends; i've pretty much been sleeping and watching episodes of NCIS online (i've just started on Season 4). I really need to get out and do things....
