I made it out alive

May 31, 2012 08:33

After much needed sleep and caffeine and a long walk and restocking the pantry I feel like I'm returning to normal. Kinda. Sorta. What about my life is normal? Baycon is always special because of friends and family. This year was better than most; from filk concerts to watching my grandsons play hockey, to readings by friends, to full panels, and a chance to touch base with fans.

Yeah, it was a good one. You know, 3 days isn't quite long enough for a con. There is always one more friend to talk to, one more panel, one more concert... But 4 days is too long. I slept on the plane home. I never sleep in a moving vehicle while sitting up. Except this time. I think that's a good measure of a successful con.
